After July 12, all cars in Bulgaria must have an eco-sticker with a chip. The microchip will contain information about the vehicle’s emission standard and registration number, as well as information about the car owner. This would make the annual technical inspections much quicker and accurate, car expert Rumen Dunev said for BNT. In his view, thanks to the new eco-stickers, the national toll system will be able to read the registration number of the vehicle, if people report a stolen car.
