Bulgaria reports 1,073 new cases of Covid-19 out of 26,827 tests performed

1,073 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 26,827 tests performed, Singe Coronavirus Information Portal data indicate. 4% of the tests have returned positive result. 81.08% of the new cases of Covid-19 are among the unvaccinated. There are 97,544 active cases of Covid-19.

5,284 people are being treated in hospital, 627 of them are in intensive care units. 145 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 88.97% of them were unvaccinated.

27 people have died and 918 have been reported cured in the past day. 85.19% of the Covid-related deaths are among the unvaccinated.

5,989 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Saturday. 1,838,105 people have completed their vaccination cycle. 168,438 have had a booster shot.

The seven-day coronavirus morbidity in Bulgaria decreased by 15.36%. Only in Shumen and Veliko Tarnovo districts, the seven-day morbidity increased by 8.81% and 1.21%.
