Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova, who officially assumed office for her second term, called on the new government to put more order in its messages and actions. “They do not have one hundred chances, they have one hundred days. Otherwise, this ruling coalition will be gone and new elections will be held”, Vice President Yotova said for the BNT.

Vice-President Yotova defined culture as one of her main priorities. In her words, during the last government of GERB party, this country’s National Assembly was dеvoid of substance and Bulgaria’s head of state had imposed a veto on a number of legislative acts.

"This model will be disintegrated by the strong decisions of the current ruling coalition, provided that they govern honestly and transparently", Iliana Yotova said.

"I don’t know whether the coronavirus epidemic or the huge social inequalities and the extremely low living standard of people is a greater reason for concern. We will support our national programme and the principles we have been upholding in the past five years", Vice President Yotova went on to say.
