As a result of effects of the ongoing war in Ukraine, industrial production in the euro area and across the union contracted sharply in March. However, Bulgaria has witnessed a significant production growth. According to Eurostat data, Bulgaria marked a 5% rise, just like Greece. Lithuania marked 11.3% growth and Estonia marked 5.1% of growth, while the strongest production decline on a monthly basis base was reported in Slovakia - 5.3%, followed by Germany - 5% and Luxembourg - 3.9%. In March, on an annual basis, industrial production in Bulgaria rose by 19.1%. The largest decline on an annual basis was reported in Slovakia - 7.3%, followed by Ireland - 5.5% and Germany - 4.1%.
