Car with illegal immigrants intercepted on Trakia motorway after police chase

Bulgarian police officers detained a car driver transporting four foreign nationals. A patrol car was hit during the police chase on Trakia motorway. No people were reported injured.

According to initial information, the vehicle was driven by a forty five-year-old Bulgarian citizen with a criminal record. The man refused to stop after being flagged down by several patrol cars on the road section of Trakia motorway connecting the towns of Plovdiv and Sofia. The immigrants said they were nationals of Morocco.
