The National Association of Grain Producers in Bulgaria have announced strike readiness in connection with the crisis in the sector caused by the intensive import of grain and crops from Ukraine. In a statement, they ask the Ministry of Agriculture for urgent measures to protect the industry.

The Association also informs that they are holding talks with their colleagues from Poland and Romania about upcoming protests, BNR correspondent in Dobrich, Maya Shtarbanova, reported. "The European farmer, including the Bulgarian one, is responsible and fulfills the requirements for healthier food and agriculture that protects the future of our children. This is the reason why it cannot compete with goods coming from third countries," the grain producers say.
