Bulgarian Orthodox Church honors the memory of St. Sophronius of Vratsa

On March 11 Bulgarian Orthodox Church honors the memory of St. Sophronius, Bishop of Vratsa. Sophronius, who was a beacon of spirituality and prominent revival writer and enlightener, is the heavenly patron of Vratsa and the diocese. 

Metropolitan Grigory of Vratsa served a liturgy at the ancient Ascension of St. Sophronius Church and called on the laity to pray to the saint to continue protecting the city, the diocese and the country from misfortunes. After the church service, the celebrations continue in front of the monument of St. Sophronius in central Vratsa.
