An interdepartmental working group will prepare a procedure for responding to bomb threats against critical infrastructure by March 31, caretaker Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev said. The group includes 36 representatives of all security services and relavant institutions. Representatives of various agencies and experts may also join the task force, Minister Demerdzhiev said. In his words, the aim is to have a flexible response protocol.
Over the past three days, a number of Bulgarian schools received bomb threats by email and were temporarily closed. The bomb threats came several days before the early parliamentary elections on April 2. Most polling stations are located at schools.
