The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office has forwarded information to Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev regarding non-observance of international accords under the European Convention on Extradition connected with the company Nexo, the BNR reports. The information concerns non-observance, by Serbia, of a request for provisional arrest for the co-founders of the crypto company Nexo Antoni Trenchev and Kosta Kantchev, charged with participation in an organized crime group, money laundering, tax fraud, computer crime and operating without a banking license. On Friday, Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev announced that Antoni Trenchev and Kosta Kantchev had landed in Belgrade from Dubai. On 31 March a European arrest warrant against them was issued, a prosecutor’s office press release reads. On 7 April, according to Interpol information, Antoni Trenchev and Kosta Kantchev stated they were “victims of a politically motivated smear campaign in the course of the election campaign in Bulgaria”.
