Spectacular 3D mapping, beautiful costumes, lots of glamour and divine music. That is how the company of the Konstantin Kisimov music and drama theatre in Veliko Turnovo are presenting the opera Don Giovanni by Mozart, directed by Petko Bonev. The show, which has already conquered the hearts of audiences in Sofia, is now taking part in the 8th edition of the summer season of Bulgarian opera theatres “Stage of the Ages” in Veliko Turnovo.

The show on the open air stage on the historic hill Tsarevets is at 9 PM on 21 July, and the company promise to turn Tsarevets hill into a luscious garden, an aristocratic mansion, a cemetery, a tavern, transporting audiences to the times in which Don Giovanni lived - the end of the 18th century.

The finale will see the palace on Tsarevets hill go up in flames, but only with the help of visual and light effects. The stellar soloists from Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece include: Nikola Ivanov (Don Giovanni) and Plamen Kumpikov (Don Giovanni’s servant Leporello); there are three guest-performers from Greece – Isidora Moles (Donna Anna), Nevena Milosevic (Donna Elvira), while Don Ottavio is performed by Stevan Karanac, and Masetto - by Nikola Popov. The opera also features the orchestra, choir and ballet of the Konstantin Kisimov music and drama theatre, conductor Georgi Patrikov.
