The leader of GERB party, Boyko Borisov, has questioned the stability of the government if the so-called non-coalition partner "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" does not support their candidates in the run-off of the local elections in the event that those of the PP-DB fail.

He admitted to journalists that he was irritated by the words of Finance Minister Asen Vassilev and commented: "I was worried by the statement that they would not support us in the second round. And who will they support - "Vazrazhdane", BSP, whom? And if so, in the parliament, from whom will they expect support?” Boyko Borisov added that he had instructed his people to vote for PP-DB in the run-off if their candidates do not proceed.

According to Borissov, GERB does not "give away" Sofia with the nomination of TV journalist Anton Hekimyan for mayor, since "such a candidacy with a wide margin has real chances".
