Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 19 July 2024

Rain showers, slight drop in temperatures expected on Friday

On Friday it will be sunny until noon. Cool air will penetrate with northeasterly wind. Clouds will form in the afternoon and in many places there will be brief showers with thunderstorms and conditions for hail. 

Minimum temperatures will be between 19 and 26°C, in Silistra - 34°C, in Sofia - 19°C. Maximum temperatures will be from 33 to 38°C, in the capital Sofia - 33°C.   

Along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be sunny, cloudy in the afternoon and rainy in the evening. Air temperatures will be up to 30-33°C. The sea water temperature is 28-29°C. 

Over the mountains it will be sunny in the morning, cloudy and showery with thundershowers in the afternoon. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m altitude will be up to 28°C, at 2,000 m - up to 20°C. 

On Saturday there will be rainy clouds with short showers, thunderstorms and hail, more intense in the afternoon in western and northern Bulgaria. Temperatures will drop to normal for the summer.
