At the very end of the first half, Todor Nedelev and Ivaylo Chochev, through several double passes, managed to surprise the guests' defense. Nedelev found himself face to face with the visitors' goalkeeper but the Bulgarian player was fouled and the referee gave an 11-meter penalty kick. Nedelev scored and in the 44th minute of the match the result was 2:0. In the second half, the Bulgarians missed several more opportunities to score.
