EUR 479 million are the grants allocated to Bulgaria under the RePowerEU chapter which is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan. By the end of last year, our country could have received 30% of this resource in advance. At a hearing of caretaker Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova and Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov in Parliament, it transpired that two changes are being prepared in the energy sector under the Recovery and Resilience Plan in the RePowerEU part with the aim of obtaining additional grant resources.

According to Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov, the country must take the necessary actions by the end of the year to receive payment under this chapter. Negotiations with the European Commission are ongoing, and the cabinet's goal is to synchronize the proposed reforms with the National Assembly before approving them in a session.
