I would like to congratulate the parliament on electing a speaker. Political consultations will begin on Tuesday. First and foremost is the submission and adoption of the state budget, President Rumen Radev said from Paris, where he is on a visit for the opening of the restored Notre Dame Cathedral.

"Let's not fall into hypotheses about future caretaker governments, as the consultations will show whether there is a potential for forming a regular government. Let's not lose hope, as it is also important for the parliament to work," the president also said.

He thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for the opportunity to attend the opening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. "Bulgaria has always been an integral part of the European historical and spiritual space and of European solidarity," Radev said.
