Ministry of Foreign Affairs cautions Bulgarians on severe weather in Canada

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Bulgarian citizens traveling or residing in Canada keep themelselves well-informed about the current weather conditions, and regularly check the status of their flights. The Canadian Meteorological Service (Environment Canada) has issued a warning for snowstorms in the regions of Ontario, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. 

The forecasts predict extremely low temperatures, strong winds and snowdrifts. Numerous flights within the country have been cancelled. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Situation Center has warned Bulgarians in Canada, as well as those planning to visit the country, to take the severe weather conditions into account. According to unofficial estimates by the Foreign Ministry, around 75,000 Bulgarians live and work in Canada.
