On April 30, a meeting was held in the US Congress building between a delegation from the Vazrazhdane party and Republican MP Keith Self, who is the vice chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the US House of Representatives and chairman of the Subcommittee on European Affairs.

"Key issues affecting the financial stability and democratic future of Bulgaria were discussed. The delegation emphasized the advantages of preserving the Bulgarian lev and the current currency board and made a proposal to replace the euro with the US dollar as the reserve currency in the currency board. A move that would strengthen the country's financial independence and deepen strategic ties with the US," Vazrazhdane announced.

The state of democracy and the rule of law in Bulgaria were also discussed.

Before arriving in Washington, the Vazrazhdane delegation visited Moscow, where it signed an agreement with the ruling United Russia party.
