After March 31, 2024, those crossing the internal air and sea borders, and from January 1, 2025 – also people crossing the land borders of Bulgaria with countries that fully implement the Schengen rules, are not subject to border checks. The Main Directorate "Border Police" published this information on their website due to the increased inquiries about the travel of minors after Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area.
