The branch of "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse which was opened earlier this year in the Moldovan town of Taraclia, has officially taken ownership of the premises of the former Gregory Tsamblak State University of Taraclia. The agreement was signed by Bulgaria’s Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Valchev and Moldova’s Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun, in the presence of Bulgaria’s Premier Rosen Zhelyazkov and Moldova’s Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Krassimir Valchev noted that the University of Ruse is among the leading European higher education institutions, participating in the highest number of pan-European projects. Just a month and a half after its opening, the number of students enrolled at the Taraclia branch of ''Angel Kanchev'' University of Ruse has already exceeded 200.

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov’s visit to Moldova continues on July 28 with meetings with President Maia Sandu and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu. Rosen Zhelyazkov will also lay a wreath at the monument of Stephen the Great.
