Even in the unclear context of the Russian war in Ukraine, Bulgarians continue to perceive European countries as the closest among international factors. These are the results of a new survey by the sociological agency "Myara", conducted with its own funds between July 31 and August 8, 2025 among 801 adult Bulgarian citizens.

The European Union leads with a 64.9% positive attitude, followed by Germany (61.2%) and France (54.1%). Even Great Britain, which left the EU, maintains its positive assessment of 51.3%. In contrast, the US and Russia show similar negative results - 32.5% versus 49.6% and 31.2% versus 49.7%, respectively.

NATO is in a balanced position with 38.7% positive versus 41.9% negative attitude. Ukraine enjoys a positive attitude among 24.7% of Bulgarians, and a negative one among 55.1%.
