The Ministry of Education will create a state educational standard for "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles". The regulation has been published for public discussion. Students with completed primary education and persons aged 16 who can take state matriculation exams, or with completed secondary education, will be able to apply for the profession of a drone pilot. After their training, they will be able to build, program, operate and maintain drones and other unmanned platforms for civil, industrial or research purposes.
The qualification will give the right to operate amateur and semi-professional drones. Amendments to the Civil Aviation Act governing the rules for drones have been submitted to the parliament for consideration.
This is also happening because of plans in the EU to have a common airspace for drones at a height of up to 150 meters, called U-space, which will also require professionally trained specialists.
