In the second quarter of 2025, Bulgaria recorded the second-highest GDP annual growth in the European Union with a rise of 3.4% compared to the same period last year, according to Eurostat data. Compared to the previous quarter of 2025, Bulgaria recorded the fourth-highest growth- 0.9%.
During the April-June period, Bulgaria’s gross domestic product amounted to EUR 27.573 billion at current prices, according to seasonally adjusted data.
The highest annual growth in the second quarter of 2025 was recorded by the economies of Ireland – 18%, Bulgaria – 3.4%, Cyprus – 3.3% and Croatia – 3.2%.
