Following the split within the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), Ahmed Dogan has announced the creation of a new political party - Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (APS).

“We have a new project. Today was the founding meeting, which will prepare a national conference for the establishment of a new political entity," he said at a briefing, as reported by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).

When asked if he would be leading the new political force, Dogan replied, “I will be participating in this political project, but my colleagues will decide if I will be heading it.”
