Children will be able to report if they or their peers become victims of violence through the CyberKidz Patrol mobile application, announced Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov. It will be available for download in early October. The only information that will be required is a phone number.

“This really helps children in an accessible way through the phone to be involved in the prevention of aggression and to report,” said Kaloyan Ganev, chairman of the Children’s Council, quoted by BTA. For example, if a child sees a classmate being bullied at school, he or she will be able to report it and the State Agency for Child Protection will check it. If necessary, other institutions will be contacted – police, prosecutor’s office, social services.

The application will also contain useful information for children, interesting news and events for them, including the Agency’s information clips against the use of dangerous substances.

Last year 6,640 reports of children at risk were received by the State Agency for Child Protection.
