From 2 to 5 October, Sofia will host the latest edition of Cirkolution/ Mini Art Fest 14. The contemporary circus festival will feature 24 performances by international and Bulgarian artists, 15 circus workshops for children and adults, two concerts and an exhibition titled 'Kings of Magic'.

Cirkolution/MAF14 will also include an international forum to discuss the development of contemporary circus culture, with experts from across Europe and Bulgaria in attendance.

Cirkolution has a long-standing tradition of focusing on social circus and will welcome participants from the Maria's World Foundation for people with intellectual disabilities, the Autism – Education, Future and Opportunities Association, and Circus Tvas from Denmark.

Young professionals from the international circus scene will perform several pieces, including a vertical circus-dance piece inspired by storms and the solitude of open spaces, created by Irish performer Hannah Scully.

A Bulgarian highlight is the National Circus, an evolving show that blends traditional Bulgarian folk dance and music with contemporary circus artistry.
