The Municipality of Burgas has declared a partial state of emergency until October 6. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov said that evacuations will be carried out in the areas most affected by the heavy rainfall, if necessary. The measure was introduced due to large-scale flooding in Burgas, the Fisherman Village, the village of Marinka and the Chernitsite villa area. According to data from the hydrometeorological station in Chernitsite, more than 250 liters of rain per square meter have fallen in the past 12 hours. The bridge in the area has collapsed, leaving the villa zone inaccessible. Land access to the "Kraymorie" fishing port is also closed.

Classes on Friday were canceled in the municipalities of Tsarevo, Primorsko and Sozopol, and partially in Burgas, to reduce travel risks for students. "There was no electricity in Sozopol due to damage to part of the power grid. Electricity has been restored", said Burgas Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov.
