The Bulgarian-English co-production “Devil’s Play” won the Best Cinematography Award at the prestigious Chelsea Film Festival in New York, announced the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York on Facebook.

The film was screened as part of the festival’s official selection. The screening was attended by producer Dessy Tenekedjieva, executive producer Gary Stretch and actor Iliyan Stamenkov.

Bulgaria’s Consul General in New York, Angel Angelov, participated at the post-screening discussion. He noted that unlike many other films shot in Bulgaria over the past decades, “Devil’s Play” clearly indicates where the action takes place, making it evident which country these stunning locations belong to.
