Sofia hosts high-level conference titled "Bulgaria on the Doorstep of the Eurozone"

The Ministry of Finance and the Bulgarian National Bank are organizing a high-level conference today titled ''Bulgaria on the Doorstep of the Eurozone''. It will be held at the Boyana Residence and is part of the communication campaign for introducing the euro in Bulgaria on 1 January 2026, the Ministry of Finance announced. The conference will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The opening session will feature Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva. The keynote speech will be delivered by European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, BTA reported.

The event will be broadcast live in Bulgarian on the Facebook page ''For the Euro BG'' and in English on the website evroto.bg.
