On November 11 at 6:30 p.m., the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York will host a special screening of a short film (18 min.) dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the prominent Bulgarian intellectual, composer and pianist Dimitar Nenov. During the event, there will be musical performances by pianist Veneta Neynska, who is among the creators of the musical documentary.

The film will be screened with English audio and Bulgarian subtitles.

In addition to being a remarkable pianist, Dimitar Nenov was a talented composer, architect, and public figure in Bulgaria in the first half of the 20th century. The film uses his only surviving recording as a pianist, as well as rare, previously unseen photos from his personal archive.

The day after the event at the Consulate General in New York, pianist Veneta Neynska will perform a concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
