One of the most popular vocal groups of the 1980s, Tonika SV, is celebrating its 45th anniversary on stage with a grand concert in Sofia. The group is to perform its greatest hits on November 8, in Hall No 1 of the National Palace of Culture. Their songs are cherished by several generations of fans.
Over the years, Tonika SV has included performers such as Vanya Kostova, Militsa Bojinova, Ralitsa Angelova, Dragomir Dimitrov, Teodor Shishmanov and Emil Vasev. The group is inseparably linked to composer Stefan Diomov, who is its founder and leader. He is also the author of most of the group’s music hits such as “Priyateli” (Friends), “Kade Si Liato” (Where Are You, Summer?), “Starata Igra” (The Old Game) and “Zdravey, Kak Si Priatelyu” (Hello, How Are You, My Friend?) The song “Maria” is also among the group’s music hits.
