Weather forecast for 18 November

Warm and rainy across much of Bugaria

On Tuesday, overnight lows will range from 7°C to 12°C, rising to 12–16°C in eastern Bulgaria and around 9°C in Sofia. It will be a cloudy day with rain, mainly in the north and west of the country, which will continue into the night towards Wednesday. Heavier rainfall is expected in some areas, as well as in the southern parts of the Eastern Rhodopes. A light to moderate west-northwesterly wind will blow across the Danube Plain, bringing colder air. In eastern Bulgaria, winds will be moderate to strong from the south-southwest, especially in the southeast. Daytime highs will range from 8°C to 21°C, reaching around 15°C in the capital.


Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly cloudy. Rain is expected in the afternoon and evening, mainly along the northern coastline. Winds will be moderate to strong from the south-southwest, especially along the southern coast. Maximum air temperatures will reach 16–21°C. Sea temperatures will range from 14°C to 16°C, with waves of around 3–4 on the Beaufort scale.


In the mountains, it will be cloudy with rain, which will turn to snow above 2,300 metres. In the western Balkan mountain range, the snow level will be around 1,600 metres, falling to 1,300 metres by evening. Strong to gale-force south-westerly winds are expected. Maximum temperatures will be around 12°C at 1,200 metres and around 6°C at 2,000 metres.


On Wednesday, temperatures will vary widely, ranging from 6–7°C in the northwest to 15–16°C in the southeast. Maximum temperatures will vary from 10–12°C in parts of western Bulgaria to 20–21°C in the east. Much of the country will be cloudy with rain, with the heaviest rainfall expected in western Bulgaria, the Eastern Rhodopes and the central and eastern parts of the Balkan Mountains.
