The mountain resort of Bansko is set to become the capital of mountaineering culture, adventure, and travel, featuring films, exhibitions, and presentations that detail the limits of human possibility. From November 19 to 23, the "Bansko Film Fest" will take place across ten locations in the town. A total of 83 premieres from over 40 countries will be presented, the BTA news agency reported. There will also be a strong Bulgarian presence with 16 titles.

The festival schedule includes 14 presentations where the public will meet with famous guests from around the world and with Bulgarian adventurers. This year's star guests are: Martin Sieberer, Stefano Ragazzo, Agnieszka Bielecka, Matteo della Bordella, Oswald Rodrigo Pereira, and Jochen Hemmleb.

In their presentations: Nikola Kalistrin will discuss the latest news in ski mountaineering. Tsvetan Pavlov will familiarise the audience with glaciers and climate change. The mountaineer Doychin Boyanov will present the history of ascents of Vihren Peak.
