The first bilingual edition (Bulgarian-English) of Aleko Konstantinov’s travelogue “To Chicago and Back” has been printed, Consul General of Bulgaria in Chicago, USA, Svetoslav Stankov, announced on his Facebook profile. The work has shaped the first views of generations of Bulgarians about America and the city of Chicago for more than a century.
The bilingual edition makes the great work accessible to the American audience; serves as a cultural bridge between Bulgaria and the USA and will find a place in the homes of hundreds of Bulgarian families in mixed marriages, where languages and cultures meet daily, Svetoslav Stankov also said.
