Temperatures go down on Sunday, rain and snow in the forecast

Over the next 24 hours the weather in the country will be dynamic. After temporarily dispersing, after midnight the clouds will increase and the precipitation will pick up from the Northwest. During the day on Sunday the rain will continue, and will be more significant in the Southern regions. The moderate Northwesterly wind will pick up in the Danube Plain, the Upper Thracian Lowlands and along the valley of the River Struma and will usher in colder air. As temperatures drop on Sunday afternoon and during the night, the rain will turn to snow on higher ground in Western Bulgaruia, Ludogorie and the Northern portion of the Balkan Range. Maximum temperatures 5°-10° C., in Southeastern Bulgaria 13-14° C, for Sofia minimum temperature around 4° C., maximum around 6° C.

Over the mountains there will be clouds and rain, above 1,600 m. – snow, but as temperatures drop the rain-snow threshold will go down. There will be a strong wind from the Northwest, on higher ground – from the Southwest. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around zero, at 2,000 around minus 5° C.

Over the Black Sea coast there will be clouds and rain, more significant along the Southern portion of the coast. Maximum temperatures 12°-14° C., temperature of the sea water 9°-10° C.
