Everyone knows that as soon as temperatures start going down it is pickle-making season. Making preserves at home is a time-honoured and widespread tradition in this country, and, in this season, practically every family in Bulgaria sets about making pickles.
There are dozens of different options for making pickles and each pickle-maker in the country has their own trademark. What matters most, however, is the correct combination of vegetables that will leave them crispy, juicy and slightly sour.
